Choose Life & Think Abundantly

Three times in three minutes. That's how many times I heard to "choose life and think abundantly" in my time with God this morning.

Today, in my Bible Recap book, I am on Day 26 and hear the story of Joseph's chance to share his abundance with his brothers, who had sold him into slavery 20 years before. He had the opportunity to choose life and think abundantly about giving double the blessings back to his brothers. I am also reminded that even in the pit and the prison of life, we can access a real sense of joy because God is always with us.

Then, I hear a song playing in the background in my office that speaks of being the hands and feet of Jesus, and I look it up. It is the song "Until the Whole World Hears" by Casting Crowns. The specific lyrics that hit me were,

"Lord, I want to feel your heart. And see the world through your eyes. I want to be your hands and feet. I want to live a life that leads."

Then I opened my Power Thoughts devotional, and today's reading is "Choose Life." I am reminded that "our thoughts become our words, and our words become our actions." When we choose life (and think abundantly, even in the pit and prison), we begin enjoying the life Jesus wants us to live.

Today, you can "choose to think life-generating thoughts" and Choose Life and Live Abundantly.
