This morning during my quiet time with God, I came across a verse that deeply resonated with me: “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” – 2 Chronicles 15:7 (NIV). As we approach the end of the year, I’ve been reflecting on how challenging this season can be for so many. It’s a time when the weight of struggles, loneliness, or unmet expectations can feel heavier than ever. Depression and thoughts of giving up can quietly creep in, even for those who seem to have it all together.
This scripture feels like a timely reminder to hold on to hope. It’s a call to keep going, to stay strong even when the journey feels overwhelming. God sees your efforts. He sees the battles you’re fighting—whether they’re internal or external—and He promises that your perseverance will not be in vain.
The phrase “do not give up” stands out to me. It’s not just about enduring; it’s about moving forward with the belief that brighter days are ahead. It’s about knowing that every small act of kindness, every decision to keep going when you feel like stopping, and every prayer whispered in faith matters deeply.
If you’re feeling weary today, I want to encourage you: don’t give up. There is hope even in the darkest moments. Reach out to someone. Share your struggles. Let others walk alongside you. And most importantly, remember that God is with you, strengthening you and guiding you every step of the way.
This season may feel heavy, but you are not alone. Be strong. Keep going. Your work, your faith, and your perseverance will be rewarded.
