Letting Go and Trusting: Walking with God Through Uncertainty

This morning, I was writing my letter to God. I closed my eyes and let my fingers just type what I was seeing/hearing. I think the output was pretty cool. This is a newer experience for me, starting only after hosting the "Deep Work Retreat" in February. I thought I would share the letter with you. Maybe it will resonate with one or two of you.

This conversation came to me in my quiet time with God:

Me:

I love you so much, and I am surrendering my life to you. Lord, I am imagining myself walking up to your alter…the white and grand space that is you. Laying myself at your feet, Lord, I know you are picking me up and carrying me through these times.

God:

Come here my child, I have you, do not be afraid, I am holding you close. You are ok now. You have nothing to worry about, I have you and will take care of you. I will put you back down now, go run…you have work to do.

Me:

You are pushing me…like a loving father teaching a child to ride a bike and letting go…but you are right behind me all the way cheering me on, ready to help me when I fall. I know that I may fall, but you will help me up. You are there to put me back on the bicycle. I feel you cheering me on.

God:

It won’t be easy, but you will learn to ride and trust in me.

Me:

Thank you lord…I feel your presence.
