I often speak about the power of gratitude because I firmly believe in its transformative effect. Our mindset plays a critical role in how we approach each day, perceive life, and manifest our surroundings. Intrinsically, we all know this, yet we often choose to live in the "gap" rather than the "gain."
Last year, I read Benjamin Hardy's book, The Gap and the Gain, and it profoundly influenced my attitude. Learning to live in the gain, versus the gap, can literally change your life. (Note: I would love to send you a copy—see below.)
This morning, as I was writing in my Five Minute Journal (which I would also love to send you), I came across a quote that resonated deeply with me. It reminded me of how often we focus on what we "want" without taking time to be grateful for what we already "have."
If you reflect on this quote, you'll realize that sometimes, being grateful for what you already have can open the door for something new to enter your life. Just like my friend Dianna told me yesterday, "Kelly, sometimes you have to let people give to you so that you can continue to give to others," As we were kindly arguing over who was going to pay the bill (LOL). Allowing others to bless you is akin to this quote:

Today, take a moment to write down what you are grateful for instead of focusing on what you need or want to achieve. Approach today with a gain mindset, not a gap mindset. It makes all the difference. It’s so easy to dwell on the negative, but focusing on the positives can transform your perspective.
Live today in gratitude, my friends.
With much love,
Kelly
