Producing Feelings

In writing my letter to God, I ask Him daily to help me act, walk and talk like Jesus. To be the light. This morning in my affirmation, I wrote it a little differently. I wrote, "I am a woman that Jesus would be proud to walk by."

Each day, I set out to be the light. To give hope. To be someone others want to know - not know me, but know who I know—to know my Jesus.

When I opened up the Power Thoughts Devotional this morning by Joyce Meyer after writing out my affirmation, it gave me better insight into how to be the person I wrote about wanting to be today.

The quote in the book said, "He simply decided and declared that since the Lord had made each day, and that it was a gift to him, he would enjoy it and be glad. He made a decision that produced the feelings he wanted RATHER than waiting to see how he felt."

How often do we get up each day "waiting" for what the day will bring versus deciding to produce the feelings we want?

Today when I wrote that affirmation, I realized that by writing that, I was DECIDING how I WANT my day to go. How I want to feel, think and act.

Today, what is your decision? What feelings are you producing?
