Solving Problems

Problems. We all have them.

I was listening to a podcast by Ed Mylett yesterday titled How Leaders Solve Problems. It was phenomenal.

So often, when we have a problem, we stay stuck in the "why" of the problem and not the "solution" to the problem. One of the quotes Ed said was, "Problems need energy to live." Yikes! Isn't that the truth?

When we expense our energy into the problem rather than the solution, we waste time and give that problem energy.

Problems need energy to live. - Ed Mylett

Today, if you have a problem, ask yourself, "What do you want to happen when the problem is resolved?" Then, work on the solution and get out of the "muck" of the problem. The problem is there, don't give it energy (aka drama), and be a person that has a solution mindset.
